Lille forward Burak Yilmaz will leave the French football club after playing his final fixture on Saturday, the Turkish player confirmed on Friday.
“Tomorrow is my last game in Lille, great 2 years we won 2 great trophies, thank you for everything, I will not forget you,” the 36-year-old said on Instagram.
Mid-table Lille will face Rennes at home to conclude the 2021-22 season on Saturday.
Meanwhile, in a statement, Lille thanked Yilmaz for his efforts and services for the club, and described him “one of the great architects” for the team winning 2021 French Ligue 1 championship.
It was also Lille’s first Ligue 1 title since 2011.
Yilmaz joined Lille in 2020 and won a French league title and a French Super Cup. He scored 25 goals in 72 matches for Les Dogues.
He previously played for Turkiye’s Big Four – Fenerbahce, Besiktas, Trabzonspor and Galatasaray.
The experienced forward amassed 77 international caps to score 31 goals for his country.
He also played for the Turkish national team in the UEFA EURO 2016 and 2020.
