Led by Ingram, Pelicans beat Lakers 116-108

Former Lakers’ player Brandon Ingram’s 26 points led the Pelicans to victory. It was his first game since recovering from a strained hamstring injury, which caused a 10-game absence, at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans.

“I’ve been out for three weeks, and to be back and win in this fashion with all my brothers, it’s special,” Ingram said about his performance.

The Pelicans were 23 points behind at a point in the second quarter, but managed to make a comeback.

Meanwhile, Lakers’ LeBron James, who dropped 39 points in the game, became the second player in NBA history to reach 37,000 points, after Lakers’ legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who had 38,387 points in his career.

The Pelicans climbed to the 9th spot with 32 wins and 43 defeats, while the Lakers are placed 10th with 31 wins and 43 losses in the Western Conference standings.
