UK’s Queen Elizabeth seen in 1st engagement in wake of health scare

Queen Elizabeth II was photographed on Wednesday standing and smiling while meeting Gen. Sir Nick Carter, the UK’s outgoing chief of defense staff, who will step down at the end of the month.

Elizabeth, 95, recently missed a series of public events, including last week’s Remembrance Sunday service, due to a sprained back.

She was last seen in public on Oct. 19 and had an overnight stay in hospital the following day, after which she was advised by doctors to rest.

Elizabeth is Britain’s longest-lived and longest-reigning monarch ever, as well as the longest-reigning monarch in the world.
