Spot market electricity prices for Wednesday, May 4

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Turkiye’s day-ahead spot market for Wednesday will be 2,500 Turkish liras at 00.00 local time (2100 GMT), according to official figures on Tuesday.

The lowest is determined as 25 liras at 07.00 local time (0400 GMT), the figures show.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume on Tuesday’s electricity market showed a decrease of 62.2% to 265.66 million liras compared to Monday.

The arithmetical and weighted average prices of electricity on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 637.75 liras and 642.34 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Tuesday was set as 2,399.99 Turkish liras at 20.00 local time (1700 GMT), with the lowest at 25.01 liras at 07.00 local time (0400 GMT).

US$1 equals 14.88 liras at 1115 GMT on Tuesday.
