Spot market electricity prices for Wednesday, May 25

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Turkiye’s day-ahead spot market for Wednesday will be 2,750 Turkish liras between 16.00 and 22.00 local time (1300 and 1900 GMT), according to official figures on Tuesday.

The lowest rate is determined as 1,654.99 liras at 04.00 local time (0100 GMT), the figures show.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume on Tuesday’s electricity market showed an increase of 5.42% to 1.30 billion liras compared to Monday.

The arithmetical and weighted average prices of electricity on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 2,349.60 liras and 2,375.74 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Tuesday was set as 2,750 liras at 17.00, 20.00 and 21.00 local time (1400, 1700 and 1800 GMT), with the lowest rate determined as 1,249.01 liras at 06.00 local time (0300 GMT), the figures show.

US$1 equals 16.11 liras at 1100 GMT on Tuesday.
