Spot market electricity prices for Tuesday, Sept. 14

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour in Turkey’s day-ahead spot market for Tuesday will be 670 Turkish liras at 19.00 local time (1600GMT), while the lowest will be 448.53 liras at 12.00 local time (0900GMT), according to official figures on Monday.

Turkey’s Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume on Monday’s electricity market showed a decrease of 3.9% to 304.57 million liras compared to Sunday.

The arithmetical and weighted average price of electricity on the day-ahead spot market is calculated as 521.88 liras and 523.74 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price for one megawatt-hour on the day-ahead spot market for Monday is set as 674 liras at 17.00, 19.00 and 20.00 (1400GMT, 1600GMT, 1700GMT), with the lowest at 445.55 liras at 06.00 local time (0300 GMT).

US$1 equals 8.44 Turkish liras at 1124 GMT on Monday.
