A new list of natural persons and legal entities in Cyprus, that will be put under a sanctions' regime by the US and Britain, is expected to be announced on Friday by the two countries competent authorities. The Cyprus News Agency (CNA) has learned that the two countries are expected to make announcements on Friday regarding a new list of natural and legal entities in Cyprus to which they will impose sanctions for infringing restrictions implemented as regards Russia's access to the international financial system, through intermediaries and their businesses. The US and Britain also sanctioned, among others, in April a series of natural persons and legal entities in Cyprus, with President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, assuring that the government was taking from the very first moment all necessary actions in cooperation with the supervisory bodies, as well as with the American and the British authorities, to fully safeguard Cyprus' reputation. Nicosia who has asked for further information from US about the sanctions they have imposed, received last Friday from them a new, second dossier, about the reasons that led the US to impose sanctions on natural and legal entities in Cyprus, while a third one is also expected to be sent.
