Explosion at gun factory in Bulgaria kills at least 3 workers

An explosion in an ammunition depot in Bulgaria killed at least three and injured another three workers, according to the local media.

 

Eyewitnesses said the explosion at the Arsenal weapons factory in the Kazanlak town in central Bulgaria was very strong and the fumes spread within minutes.

 

The firefighting teams were deployed to the accident site and an investigation into the incident was launched.

 

Last year, a worker died in a fire that broke out in the same factory.

 

In recent years, 20 people died in several accidents that occurred in arms factories and ammunition depots across Bulgaria, including Kazanlak, Gorni Lom, Lovnidol, Petolichkata, Kostenetz, Maglizh, and Igonovo areas.
