In the framework of the Coordinated Annual Defense Review conducted by the European Defence Agency (EDA) every two years, Stefano Cont, Director of Capabilities, Equipment, and Design of the EDA, accompanied by officials of the Agency, conducted a two-day visit to Cyprus on February 19-20.
According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Defence, Cont and the EDA delegation met with the Director of the Directorate of General Procurement and Defence Capability Development of the Ministry of Defence, Panagiotis Hatzipavlis, and officers of the Directorate, with whom they discussed issues concerning the cooperation of the Ministry of Defence with the EDA.
During the meeting, they exchanged views on ongoing programs and future programs that will help both the EU and member states in promoting opportunities for multinational cooperation in Defence Capability Development, Research, and Technology, as well as in supporting the Defence Industry and operational aspects of the EU, the press release said.
