Czech center Jan Vesely joins Barcelona until 2025

Czech center Jan Vesely joined the Spanish basketball powerhouse Barcelona on Friday.

In a statement, Barcelona said that Vesely, 32, inked a three-year deal with his new club after playing for 8 years for Fenerbahce Beko, where he became a legendary figure for the Turkish basketball fans.

Vesely moved to Fenerbahce Beko in the 2014-15 season and won the Turkish Super Lig four times.

He was a main pillar of the Turkish team when Fenerbahce Beko won the 2017 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, the club’s first and only European title.

Vesely was named the EuroLeague Most Valuable Player in the 2018-19 season.

Last season, Vesely averaged 13.6 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 2.5 assists in 22 EuroLeague appearances.
