Cypriot MPs to participate in JPSG on Europol in Brussels

A delegation by the House of Representatives will participate in the 13th Meeting of the Joint Parliamentary Scrutiny Group on Europol.

According to a press release by the Parliament, MPs Demetris Demetriou, Nikos Kettiros, Chrystanthos Savvides and Elias Myrianthous, members of the Cypriot delegation in the JPSG on Europol, will be in Brussels for the Meeting that will take place 20 and 21 of September.

The Meeting will include a discussion with Executive Director of Europol Catherine De Bolle about the recent activities of Europol and the Europol Planning Document. Participating MPs will also be informed by the European Data Protection Supervisor about matters of his portfolio.

In addition, separate thematic discussions will take place on Europol’s activities related to the war in Ukraine, the situation of organized crime in the European Union and the risk assessment for financial crime and corruption.
