ISTANBUL: China announced on Wednesday an anti-subsidy investigation into dairy products from the EU, marking the latest response to the 27-member bloc's decision to raise tariffs on Chinese-made electric vehicles (EVs). A statement by China's Commerce Ministry said that the investigation covers products such as fresh and processed cheese, along with uncondensed milk and cream without added sugar or other sweeteners. The decision followed the EU's move to revise down countervailing duties on some Chinese EV producers a day earlier, to which Beijing expressed opposition, according to the South China Morning Post. Early this year in June, the European Commission had announced additional custom duties of as much as 38.1% on Chinese electric vehicles. Source: Anadolu Agency
