Matteo Salvini said bankers and not workers should pay in the 2025 budget as he led the League’s annual rally at Pontida near Milan.
“If someone has to pay something more, let the bankers pay, not the workers”, he said from the stage in Pontida regarding the measures envisaged by the next budget law.
Salvini added: “The government is united, it is a government of friends before allies, obviously we discuss every now and then”.
This was a reference to a disagreement with Forza Italia leader Antonio Tajanbi who has said FI is totally against extra profits on banks.
