Nyxoah Advances Patient Access Strategy through Partnership with the American Association of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery Foundation

First medical device company to become a corporate champion at the ENTerprise Circle level

The AAO-HNSF is committed to identifying and combating harmful coverage policies that threaten access to quality otolaryngology-head and neck services. The ENTerprise Circle is the top-tier partnership experience and the collaboration will focus on improving patient access to new breakthrough treatments for OSA by:

  • Navigating the CMS and Private Payers prior authorization requirements pathway
  • Preparing for interaction with the FDA and AMA CPT to expand patient access to appropriate care
  • Advocating for reducing the hurdles to new, bilateral hypoglossal nerve stimulation (HGNS) therapy with clinical guidelines to be used by CMS and commercial insurance payers

Israel’s Netanyahu cancels delegation’s visit to US after UN resolution for Gaza cease-fire

ANKARA: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday called off an official visit for a top delegation to Washington after the passage of a UN Security Council resolution calling for an immediate cease-fire in the Gaza Strip. According to the Israeli public broadcaster KAN, Netanyahu canceled the delegation's visit after the US abstained from using the veto against the resolution. A statement by Netanyahu's office said the US decision to allow the resolution to pass is "a clear retreat from the consistent US position in the Security Council since the beginning of the war." The Israeli premier earlier threatened to cancel the delegation's visit if Washington failed to veto the UN resolution. Russia sends demarche to US over continental shelf extension

ISTANBUL: Russia on Monday said it sent a demarche to the US over the country's decision to extend its continental shelf in December 2023. A statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry said Washington's "unilateral steps do not comply with the rules and procedures established by international law." It further underlined that the Russian delegation that participated in a meeting of the Council of the International Seabed Authority criticized the US' "selective approach" in the use of international law. The delegation also rejected Washington's most recent attempts to use the norms of the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea "solely to serve its own interests." "Earlier, a corresponding demarche was sent to the American side via a bilateral line," the statement added. On Dec. 19, the US State Department announced that it had released the coordinates defining the country's outer limits of its extended continental shelf, covering approximately 1 million square kilometers (over 290,000 sq nautical miles) sp read across seven regions.
