Juventus parted ways with Argentine forward Paulo Dybala, the Italian club confirmed on Thursday.

“He arrived in Turin as a young, talented promise, and now he bids Juve farewell, taking with him a wealth of experience that have made him the champion he is now,” Juventus said in a statement.

“The seven years together were not only made up of goals and victories, there were flashes of skill, unforgettable nights, and performances of absolute quality,” it added.

Dybala, who joined Juventus from Palermo in 2015, produced 115 goals and 48 assists in 293 matches.

The 28-year-old won a total of 12 trophies, including five Serie A titles, four Italian Cups, and three Italian Super Cups during his seven-year spell with the Italian football club.

He also scored three goals in 34 matches for Argentina.

Morata exits Juventus after 2 season

Juventus forward Alvaro Morata left the Italian side after two years of service.

“Alvaro Morata’s adventure at Juventus has come to an end. The Spanish forward, on loan from Atletico Madrid over the last two seasons, leaves the Bianconeri for the second time and returns to the ranks of the Colchoneros,” Juventus said.

Morata won two Serie a titles, three Italian Cups and an Italian Super Cup with Juventus.

The 29-year-old Spanish produced 59 goals and 39 assists in 185 matches.

In another announcement, Juventus said it parted ways with Federico Bernardeschi.

“Today a long chapter written together closes and, as always happens in these cases, we thank you, Federico, and wish you good luck for the future,” Juventus said.

Bernardeschi won three Serie A titles, two Italian Cups, and two Italian Super Cups with Juventus.

The 28-year-old winger formerly made appearances for Fiorentina and Crotone in Italy.

Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv on Thursday confirmed the signing of American guard Wade Baldwin.

“Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv signed on a two-year deal Wade Baldwin IV (6ft 4in, 26-years-old), who starred for Baskonia last season and is considered as one of the most versatile EuroLeague guards,” Maccabi said in a statement.

Spending last season with Baskonia, Baldwin averaged 14.1 points, 4.4 assists, and 3.6 rebounds in 30 EuroLeague matches.

The 26-year-old previously played for Memphis Grizzlies, Portland Trail Blazers, Bayern Munich, and Olympiacos.

One of the three Grand Tours in cycling, the 2022 Tour de France will kick off Friday with the Stage 1 being held in Copenhagen.

Established in 1903, the Tour de France, one of the major bike races alongside Giro d’Italia and Vuelta a Espana, will be run for the 109th time in history.

In the 2022 Tour de France, there will be 22 teams including 176 riders.

This year’s tour includes 21 stages as the contest will end in Paris’ Champs Elysees on July 24. The 2022 competition will cover a distance of 3,328 kilometers or 2,068 miles.

The first three stages will be hosted by Denmark, but the Tour will visit Belgium in the sixth round and then Switzerland in the eighth and ninth stages.

The 109th edition of the Tour de France will have mountain, hill, cobble and flat surfaces depending on the race locations.

There will be two rest days, and a transfer day after the third stage as well as two individual time trial stages in the 2022 Tour.

Following the third stage, teams will travel from Denmark to France’s Dunkirk near the Belgian border.

The riders will also climb four mountain massifs; the Vosges, the Alps, the Massif Central and the Pyrenees before the final stage on July 24 between Paris La Defense Arena and Champs Elysees, which is 116 kilometers (72 miles).

The Tour de France said on its website that €2.3 million ($2.39 million) will be the total prize money, and it also includes €500,000 prize money to the final winner of the overall individual classification.

The 2020 and 2021 Tour de France champion, Slovenia’s Tadej Pogacar, 23, of UAE Team Emirates and his 32-year-old compatriot Primoz Roglic of Team Jumbo-Visma are expected to compete for the yellow jersey, which is handed to the winner.

Roglic is a three-time Vuelta a Espana winner (2019, 2020 and 2021).

The Vuelta a Espana is one of the Grand Tours that is held in Spain.

4 cyclists win tour 5 times

Four riders won the Tour de France title for five times in history; Jacques Anquetil (France), Eddy Merckx (Belgium), Bernard Hinault (France), Miguel Indurain (Spain) are the record champions.

Anquetil was the 1957, 1961, 1962, 1963 and 1964 Tour de France champion. He died in 1987.

Merckx has claimed it in 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972 and 1974.

Another French national Hinault won the Tour de France in 1978, 1979, 1981, 1982 and 1985.

Indurain was the winner in 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994 and 1995.

Merckx, Hinault and Indurain have already retired.

Israel-Premier Tech’s British cyclist Chris Froome, 37, who is one of the 2022 Tour de France competitors, won this title four times (2013, 2015, 2016 and 2017).

Nairobi native Froome will pedal in the 109th edition of the Tour de France as he aims to be among the record winners of this competition.

US commercial crude oil inventories decreased by 0.7% during the week ending June 24, according to data released by the Energy Information Administration (EIA) on Wednesday.

Inventories fell by 2.8 million barrels to 415.6 million barrels, against the market expectation of a drop of 110,000 barrels.

However, strategic petroleum reserves, which are not included in commercial crude stocks, declined by 7 million barrels to 497.9 million barrels last week, the data revealed.

Gasoline inventories also decreased by 2.6 million barrels to 221.6 million barrels over the same period.

– Crude production rises

According to EIA data, US crude oil imports decreased by 228,000 barrels per day (bpd) to around 5.99 million bpd during the week ending June 24, while crude oil exports fell by 192,000 bpd to 3.38 million bpd.

US crude oil production, meanwhile, increased by 125,000 bpd to approximately 12.52 million bpd over the same period.

In the June Short-Term Energy Outlook (STEO), the EIA forecasts that crude oil output in the US will average 11.92 million bpd in 2022, up from 11.2 million bpd in 2021.

In 2023, crude oil output in the country is forecast to reach 12.97 million bpd.

Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by 1.3% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 953,537 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 45,512 megawatt-hours at 03.00 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country’s electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,060 megawatt-hours at 07.00 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 947,580 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking an increase of 1.5% compared to Tuesday.

Electricity production from imported coal plants constituted 19.3% of total generation, while natural gas and hydropower plants contributed 18.2% and 17.8%, respectively.

On Wednesday, the country’s electricity exports amounted to 7,011 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 12,968 megawatt-hours.

Türkiye’s electricity production decreased by around 1.3% in April compared to the same month in 2021, the latest data from the country’s energy watchdog showed.

Total electricity production fell to around 24.7 million megawatt-hours (MWh) from about 25 million MWh in April last year, Türkiye’s Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) announced in its electricity market report for April.

The country produced electricity from several sources: 35.1% from hydropower, 16.2% from natural gas, 15.1% from lignite, 11.4% from imported coal and 10.5% from wind. Geothermal, biomass, diesel, hard coal, solar power, asphaltite and fuel oil generated the remaining share.

Electricity consumption in April also fell to around 19.9 million MWh, marking almost a 3% decrease compared to the same month of 2021. Industrial sector consumption held the largest share at 46.64%, followed by the residential sector at 25.64%. The commercial sector ranked third with 23.31%, while agricultural irrigation and street lighting accounted for the remainder.

Installed electricity capacity was up 2.6% in April from the same month of 2021.

Natural gas power plants comprised 27.2%, while 25.2% came from hydropower plants and 11.7% from wind power plants. Lignite, imported coal, hydro, geothermal, biomass, solar power, hard coal, asphaltite, fuel oil, naphtha, LNG and diesel also contributed to installed capacity.
