Zelenskyy Discusses Security Contingent Plans with UK, French Military Chiefs

Kyiv: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Ukrainian forces engaged in talks with British Chief of Defense Staff Adm. Tony Radakin and French Armed Forces Chief Gen. Thierry Burkhard to discuss security cooperation and the potential deployment of a partner security contingent in Ukraine.

According to Anadolu Agency, Zelenskyy noted tangible progress and initial details regarding the deployment of a partner security contingent. He expressed gratitude to the UK and France for their leadership and international support. The discussions are part of a broader effort to ensure Ukraine’s security and establish long-term security guarantees.

Zelenskyy highlighted the importance of joint international efforts in securing a durable and lasting peace in Ukraine. He emphasized the ongoing coordination among international partners as Kyiv seeks stronger security arrangements in the face of Russia’s full-scale war.
