ANKARA: At least 20 Palestinians, including a woman and her six children, were killed on Sunday when the Israeli army targeted several areas in Gaza Strip.
Medical sources at the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital told Anadolu that a woman and her six children were killed and several others injured in an Israeli attack on Deir al-Balah city.
They added that four more were killed and several others wounded in another Israeli attack on the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza Strip.
Eyewitnesses told Anadolu that Israeli artillery vehicles stationed east of the Gaza Strip are intensively shelling the eastern areas of the Maghazi and Bureij camps and the city of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.
One Palestinian woman was killed and several others were injured when an Israeli drone targeted a house in the Sabra neighborhood of Gaza City, according to sources.
In the southern Gaza Strip, four Palestinians, including a woman, were killed when an Israeli drone targeted a house in eastern Khan Younis, according to
medical sources.
Local sources told Anadolu that the Israeli army also demolished dozens of residential buildings in Khan Younis and the Saudi neighborhood in western Rafah.
Palestinian Civil Defense teams said they managed to retrieve the bodies of four people and several injured individuals after Israeli forces targeted homes in the Jabalia camp in the northern Gaza Strip.
Israel, flouting a UN Security Council resolution demanding an immediate cease-fire, has faced international condemnation amid its continued brutal offensive on Gaza since an Oct. 7 attack last year by the Palestinian resistance group, Hamas.
The Israeli onslaught has since killed nearly 40,100 people, mostly women and children, and injured over 92,500, according to local health authorities.
More than 10 months into the Israeli onslaught, vast tracts of Gaza lie in ruins amid a crippling blockade of food, clean water and medicine.
Israel is accused of genocide at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), which ordered it to immediat
ely halt its military operation in the southern city of Rafah, where more than 1 million Palestinians had sought refuge from the war before it was invaded on May 6.
