Enner Valencia scored twice from the penalty spot as Fenerbahce beat Corendon Alanyaspor 3-1 in a Sunday Spor Toto Super Lig match to tighten their grip in the Turkish title race.
Hosts Alanyaspor took an early lead after their Greek forward Efthymios Koulouris scored. The goal was valid after a video assistant referee (VAR) review as Koulouris was onside.
However Fenerbahce's prolific forward Valencia was on the scoresheet again as the Ecuadoran player scored a brace from the penalty spot in the 65th and 85th minutes.
Then Turkish winger Emre Mor scored a classy goal outside the area to make the result 3-1 for Fenerbahce.
In the second half, Fenerbahce head coach Jorge Jesus was shown a red card for protesting to the referee.
Valencia, 33, a Fenerbahce forward since 2020, has scored 25 league goals in 21 matches this season.
He also scored three goals in the UEFA Europa League and added one in the Turkish Cup.
Second-place Fenerbahce increased their points to 54 in 24 matches to be after leaders Galatasaray, who have 60 points.
Besiktas are third with 49 points as the Black Eagles beat Istanbulspor 3-1 on Saturday.
