UNSG Special Representative in Cyprus Colin Stewart briefed today Turkish Cypriot leader Ersin Tatar before his departure next week for the UN Security Council.
According to media reports from the Turkish-occupied areas, Colin Steward said that they had 'a very good meeting' and that he briefed the Turkish Cypriot leader before he leaves for the UN Security Council next week.
'I briefed them on recent developments and on how I see things here in the island' UNSG Special Representative in Cyprus stated, adding that as always, he 'encouraged that we redouble our efforts to try to find a way forward for the political process to do with the ultimate political solution here on the island.'
And added that as always, they had 'a very good exchange on a range of issues.'
