Ukraine Claims Destruction of Russian Hangar Complex in Kursk Border Region

Kiev: Ukraine claimed Tuesday that its forces struck a hangar complex in Russia’s border region of Kursk. A statement by Ukraine’s General Staff on Telegram said the country’s Air Force destroyed hangars at the complex in the village of Ozerki, as well as several military buildings and technical equipment.

According to Anadolu Agency, the strike reportedly resulted in the death of more than 30 Russian soldiers. The destruction of the complex is claimed to have significantly reduced Russia’s ability to conduct operations against Ukrainian troops in its border region of Sumy and Russia’s Kursk region.

The statement emphasized that Ukrainian defenders are targeting valid military objectives while taking measures to protect civilians. It further stated that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will persist in dismantling elements of enemy military infrastructure until Russia ceases its armed aggression.

Russia has not yet commented on these claims, and independent verification of Kyiv’s assertions remains challenging due to the ongoing conflict.
