Two injured with 90% burns after building explosion

(see related story) Two French nationals injured in an explosion at a building in Soldano near Imperia in Liguria on Sunday sustained 90 per cent burns and are now in the major burn unit of Villa Scarsi hospital in Sampierdarena, sources said on Sunday.

The men, from Marseilles, were said to be in very serious condition.

A third man, also from France, is instead allegedly receiving hospital treatment in Turin.

It is understood that a birthday party was underway at the building at the time of the explosion.
