The Turkish army killed 28 PKK terrorists in the southeastern provinces of Diyarbakir and Sirnak on Tuesday.
According to a statement issued by the Turkish General Staff, 19 PKK members were killed in Sirnak's Idil district.
In another incident in Idil, PKK terrorists reportedly shot at security forces as they were searching a destroyed house. Six PKK terrorists were killed during the clashes.
The total number of the PKK terrorists killed in the district increased to 119.
In a separate operation in Diyarbakir's Sur district, the Turkish military killed three PKK terrorists.
Numerous weapons were also seized during the operations.
The southeast has been the scene of a significant military operation since December.
The PKK - listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU - resumed its 30-year armed campaign against the Turkish state in late July 2015.
Since then, more than 290 members of the security forces have been martyred and thousands of PKK terrorists killed in operations across Turkey and northern Iraq.
