Turkiye’s Karmod to launch prefabricated housing project in Liberia

ISTANBUL: Turkish prefabricated housing company Karmod will supply prefabricated homes to Liberia, marking its latest expansion into the West African market.

Karmod has completed factory production of 10 prefabricated homes, which will be transported by sea to Liberia’s capital, Monrovia, the company said in a statement.

The refabricated houses then will be delivered overland to the project site in Ganta, a city in northern Liberia. On-site installation will be carried out by Karmod’s field teams.

The project adds Liberia to Karmod’s growing portfolio of export markets, which now exceeds 140 countries, said Ziya Yanik, Karmod’s export sales manager.

‘With our quick-assembly prefabricated homes, we are helping to address the housing shortage in African countries,’ Yanik said.

‘Our durable, safe, and efficiently produced homes continue to attract interest across the African continent, particularly in West Africa,’ he added.

The prefabricated units, built in a 2+1 layout and measuring 75 square meters, wil
l provide affordable housing options in Ganta, he noted.

‘This project aligns with our commitment to offering rapid housing solutions in regions with urgent needs,’ he said.

Karmod has recently seen a surge in demand for prefabricated housing solutions across Africa, with company representatives meeting regularly with clients from various West African countries, according to the statement.
