Türkiye’s central bank raises interest rates to 15%

Like many central banks around the world, Turkiye has decided to raise interest rates in a bid to counter inflation. The Turkish central bank raised rates by 650 basis points to 15% - the first such hike in more than two years. That comes after President Recep Tayyip Erdogan revamped his cabinet appointing both a new finance minister and central bank governor. Emre Boz has more.
