Turkiye’s benchmark stock index opened at 1,998.55 points on Tuesday, up 0.97 points, or 0.05%, from the previous close.
The BIST 100 index was up 2.77%, to close Monday at 1,997.58 points, with a daily trading volume of 27.3 billion Turkish liras ($2 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate rose to 13.5990 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT), from 13.5830 at Monday’s close.
The euro/lira exchange rate climbed slightly to 15.5300 from 15.5220, while a British pound traded for 18.3960 liras, down from 18.4030 at the last close.
Brent crude oil sold for around $92.60 per barrel as of 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT).
