Turkish stock exchange up at open

ISTANBUL: Trkiye's benchmark stock index BIST 100 opened Monday at 9,866.98 points, marking an increase of 0.46% or 45.02 points from the previous close. On Friday, the BIST 100 index decreased by 1.61% to 9,821.96 points, with a daily transaction volume of 76 billion liras ($2.26 billion). As of 10.25 a.m. (0725GMT), the US dollar/Turkish lira (USD/TRY) exchange rate was 33.7240, the EUR/TRY rate stood at 37.2815, while the GBP/TRY rate was 43.7620. The price of one ounce of gold was $2,503.41, and the price of Brent crude oil was around $78.75 per barrel. Source: Anadolu Agency
