Turkish Stock Exchange Rises at Weekly Close.

Istanbul: The Turkish benchmark stock index concluded the week on a positive note, closing at 8,885.00 points on Friday, marking a 0.24% increase from the previous day’s close. The BIST 100 index showed a gain of 21.12 points from Thursday’s figures.

According to Anadolu Agency, the index experienced fluctuations throughout the day, with its lowest value recorded at 8,849.18 and peaking at 8,982.03. At the end of the trading day, 52 indexes saw an increase in value, while 46 experienced declines.

The total transaction volume for the day reached 76 billion Turkish liras, equivalent to approximately $2.22 billion, with the overall value of the index standing at 7.75 trillion liras, or $226.8 billion. The currency exchange rates were noted as USD/TRY at 34.3380, EUR/TRY at 37.3050, and GBP/TRY at 44.5075.

In the commodities market, the price of one ounce of gold was $2,755.50, while Brent oil was priced around $73.80 per barrel.
