Turkish Stock Exchange Opens Midweek with Gains

Istanbul: Trkiye’s benchmark stock index opened Wednesday at 10,103.74 points, marking a rise of 0.23% or 23.40 points from the previous close.

According to Anadolu Agency, on Tuesday, the BIST 100 saw an increase of 1.33%, reaching 10,080.35 points, with a daily transaction volume of 132.3 billion Turkish liras, equivalent to $3.3 billion. As of 10.05 am local time (0705GMT), exchange rates were recorded at 39.8160 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 47.0380 to the euro, and 54.8090 to the British pound.

The report further noted that the price of an ounce of gold was $3,330.85, while Brent crude oil was trading at $66.80 per barrel.
