Budapest: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof engaged in discussions on Thursday concerning the bilateral relations between their countries and prominent regional and global issues.
According to Anadolu Agency, Erdogan hosted Schoof during his visit to Budapest, Hungary, where they participated in the European Political Community Summit. Trkiye’s Communications Directorate reported that Erdogan emphasized ongoing efforts to strengthen Trkiye-Netherlands relations. These efforts are aimed at increasing trade volume and exploring cooperation opportunities, particularly in the defense industry, green and digital transformation, and energy sectors.
Erdogan also reiterated Trkiye’s commitment to full EU membership, highlighting that revitalizing the accession process and updating the Customs Union would benefit both parties. He further stated that Ankara is dedicated to ensuring lasting peace and stability in crisis areas worldwide, with particular attention on Ukraine, Pa
lestine, and Lebanon. Erdogan stressed the importance of global collaboration to prevent the escalation of Israeli aggression.
