Ankara: Trkiye’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Somali President Hasan Sheikh Mohamud convened at the presidential complex in Ankara to deliberate on strengthening bilateral ties and addressing global and regional concerns. The Turkish Communications Directorate reported that the discussions prominently featured Trkiye’s commitment to supporting Somalia in its quest for peace, security, and territorial integrity. This support is crucial as Somalia continues its efforts toward achieving lasting peace and stability, particularly in coordination with Ethiopia.
According to Anadolu Agency, President Erdogan emphasized the ongoing collaboration with Somalia in combating terrorism, affirming that Trkiye remains steadfast in standing alongside the Somali people in this fight. The meeting also highlighted the significance of enhancing cooperation between Trkiye and Somalia across various sectors, including economy, trade, security, and defense. The leaders expressed their dedication to further developing these areas of cooperation, ensuring mutual growth and stability in the region.
