ANKARA, -- A task-force from the Turkish anti-terror unit detained 40 foreigners under the suspicion of affiliation to Daesh in Istanbul on Sunday.
The arrests, made during security crackdown, took place at 23 homes in Fatih district, Anadolu Agency reported, citing security sources.
The suspects belong to Azeri, Iranian, Iraqi and Afghan nationalities who visited the conflict areas Syria several times, the sources said.
During the operation a number of documents and digital material associated with the terrorist group.
