Turkish Ambassador to Lebanon, ?agatay Erciyes, on Thursday voiced support to the Lebanese flurry of efforts to elect a new president.
"We hope that a president will be elected real soon to put an end to the prevailing crisis. The Turkish state supports all the efforts underway within this framework and deems the choice of a president a strictly Lebanese affair," the Turkish diplomat said while inaugurating a photo exhibition in Tyre titled "July 15: A coup attempt and victory of Turkish democracy".
"Stability and security in Lebanon are those of Turkey as well. Turkey has been worried about the Lebanese presidency, especially that the country has been without a president for 2.5 years," he added, voicing his country's support to all the efforts being exerted towards this end.
