Turkey’s benchmark stock index opened the week at 2,056 points on Monday, up 1.1%, or 20.53 points, from the previous close.
The BIST 100 index of Borsa Istanbul climbed 0.2% to close the last week at 2,035.48 points, while the daily trading volume was 43.3 billion Turkish liras ($3.1 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate rose to 13.9720 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT), versus 13.8800 at the previous close.
The euro/lira exchange rate was up to 15.7790 from 15.6800, while a British pound traded for 18.5510 liras, up from 18.4110.
A barrel of Brent crude oil was sold for around $76.3 as of 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT).?
