Security forces arrested three people in southern Turkey for alleged links to the terror groups PKK and Daesh/ISIS, an official statement said Saturday.
The suspects were arrested in a dawn operation in the Mersin province’s Toroslar, Akdeniz, and Yenisehir districts, the provincial gendarmerie command said in a statement.
A number of documents and digital materials were seized in searches of the suspects’ addresses, it added.
In its more than 35-year terror campaign against Turkey, the PKK – listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the US, and the EU – has been responsible for the deaths of 40,000 people, including women, children, and infants.
