Spot market electricity prices for Tuesday, August 17

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour in Turkey’s day-ahead spot market for Tuesday will be 636 Turkish liras between 09.00 and 23.00 (0600-2000 GMT) and the lowest will be 371.07 liras at 07.00 local time (0400 GMT), according to official figures on Monday.

Turkey’s Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume on Monday’s electricity market showed a decrease of 0.99% to 325.25 million liras compared to Sunday.

The arithmetical and weighted average price of electricity on the day-ahead spot market is calculated as 562.33 liras and 562.98 liras, respectively.

The electricity price for one megawatt-hour on the day-ahead spot market for Monday is set as 636 liras between 08.00 and 23.00 (0500-2000 GMT) and the lowest at 370.28 liras at 06.00 local time (0300 GMT).

US$1 equals 8.46 Turkish liras at 1108 GMT on Monday.
