Spot market electricity prices for Thursday, Oct. 21

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour in Turkey’s day-ahead spot market for Thursday will be 1,078 Turkish liras between 06.00 and 10.00 (0300-0700 GMT) and between 15.00 and 20.00 local time (1200-1700 GMT), while the lowest will be 494.11 liras at 12.00 local time (0900 GMT), according to official figures on Wednesday.

Turkey’s Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume on Wednesday’s electricity market showed an increase of 16.8% to 505.7 million liras compared to Tuesday.

The arithmetical and weighted average price of electricity on the day-ahead spot market is calculated as 901.79 liras and 900.84 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price for one megawatt-hour on the day-ahead spot market for Wednesday was set as 1,078 liras between 17.00 and 20.00 local time (1400-1700 GMT), with the lowest at 440.77 liras at 04.00 local time (0100 GMT).

US$1 equals 9.32 Turkish liras at 1124 GMT on Wednesday.
