All of the hospitals in the southern Gaza Strip are not in any better condition than others in the besieged enclave, Gaza’s health ministry spokesperson told Anadolu.
The Shuhada Al-Aqsa Hospital does not properly provide health care because it has lost its resources and is about to run out of fuel, said Ashraf al-Qudra. Consequently, it will stop working
‘The occupation displaced the medical staff, and some were killed or injured,’ he said. ‘The hospital has also turned into a shelter, with scores of casualties in its corridors and yards.’
Al-Qudra stressed the importance of establishing a ‘secure humanitarian corridor to deliver medical aid and fuel to Gaza’s hospitals.’
He pleaded for the allowance of medical delegations to enter the Gaza Strip, evacuate those who are injured and establish field hospitals to address critical conditions.
Israel has launched relentless air and ground attacks in the Gaza Strip following a cross-border attack by the Palestinian group, Hamas, on Oct. 7.
Authorities in Ga
za said Monday that the death toll from the Israeli attacks on the enclave since Oct. 7 has jumped to more than 13,300, including 5,600 children and 3,550 women.
The Israeli death toll, meanwhile, is around 1,200, according to official figures.
