Security measures in the Ghetto areas of Rome and Venice, as well as around other sensitive locations connected to local Jewish communities, have been further heightened amid escalating violence in the Middle East, recent anti-Semitic demonstrations and pro-Palestine marches announced ahead of the first anniversary of the October 7 deadly Hamas attack on Israel, security sources said Sunday.
