Russia's Republic of Tatarstan will be hosting this year's BRICS heads of state summit in the capital city of Kazan, according to a decree signed by President Vladimir Putin on Monday.
The decree said Kazan would be hosting the summit, while the Kremlin's foreign policy aide Yuri Ushakov will chair the organizing committee responsible for the summit's preparations.
BRICS is an international organization consisting of Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa.
