Moscow: Russia announced the delivery of its 32nd batch of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, totaling 28 tons. The aid was sent via a special flight to Egypt, comprising food, essential items, and technical rehabilitation equipment, as stated by Russia’s Emergency Situations Ministry.
According to Anadolu Agency, the Egyptian Red Crescent Society will facilitate the transfer of the aid to the residents of the Gaza Strip. Russia has delivered a cumulative total of 827 tons of humanitarian aid since Israel’s offensive began in October 2023.
The ongoing conflict has resulted in significant casualties, with over 44,250 people killed in the Gaza Strip, primarily women and children, following a cross-border attack by Hamas on October 7 of the previous year, which claimed nearly 1,200 lives according to official figures.
The offensive has displaced nearly the entire enclave population, imposing a blockade that has led to critical shortages of food, clean water, and medicine, placing the population at risk of st
arvation. International organizations and aid groups have warned that the entire Gaza population, exceeding 2 million, faces the threat of famine due to the continuous attacks and blockade.
