EUC Startup Networking Night: An Evening of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at European University Cyprus

European University Cyprus recently hosted the EUC Startup Networking Night, an inspiring evening of entrepreneurship and innovation that took place on September 26th, marking the successful conclusion of the 3rd cycle of the EUC Startup Programme powered by Microsoft.

We are thrilled to announce that 65 participants attended the event, contributing to great discussions and sharing valuable opinions. The evening fostered a dynamic environment for startups, entrepreneurs, and investors, facilitating knowledge-sharing and networking opportunities.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to all who attended and made this event a success. Your participation is invaluable to the growth of our entrepreneurial community. We congratulate the startups that successfully participated in the EUC Startup Programme, which provides mentorship, training, and essential networking opportunities designed to propel them into the business world. Over the course of the programme, these innovative startups engaged in a series of trainings and mentoring sessions with their dedicated mentors, honing their skills and refining their business ideas. Their impressive pitches showcased the bright future of entrepreneurship in Cyprus.

The event featured pitches from the startups of the 3rd cycle, who shared their innovative business ideas and the insights they gained throughout the programme. Following the pitches, a panel discussion titled ‘Empowering Innovation: Insights from Cyprus’ Entrepreneurship Leaders’ to
ok place, featuring distinguished experts including:

Demetris Skourides, Chief Scientist for Research, Innovation and Technology of the Republic of Cyprus

Andreas Panayi, Managing Director, Kinisis Ventures Limited

Maria Markidou Georgiadou, Managing Director, Cyprus Seeds

George Georgiades, Partner Technology Strategist for SouthEast Europe, Microsoft

Yiannis Eftychiou, Co-founder and Partner, 33East

This panel provided invaluable insights into the future of innovation and entrepreneurship in Cyprus, sparking engaging discussions that left attendees inspired.

The programme was organized by the School of Business of European University Cyprus with Dr. Pieris Chourides leading the effort, in close collaboration with Microsoft, represented by Stavrinos Kyriakou. GrantXpert Consulting Ltd managed operations on behalf of EUC, with Dr. Celia Hadjichristodoulou and Stephani Theophanous serving as facilitators.
