Confucius Institute at Cyprus University of Technology Successfully Concludes 2nd Summer Camp Project
The Confucius Institute at the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) celebrated the successful completion of its 2nd Summer Camp Project which lasted for three weeks. This year, we had the honor of hosting twenty students from Chinese university Hangzhou Dianzi (HDU), further solidifying the strong and expanding collaboration between our institutions. This initiative builds on the success of last year’s camp, which welcomed thirty students from HDU.
The event was graced by the presence of distinguished guests, including Counsellor Zhou Yunliang from the Embassy of China in Cyprus and Professor Nicos Tsapatsoulis, Vice Rector of Academic Affairs at CUT, alongside colleagues and staff from both institutions.
During the Summer Camp Project, the students participated in a variety of enriching activities. They engaged in language classes, learning Greek and English, and practiced research methodologies. They al
so immersed themselves in the local culture through visits to historical sites, and engaged in university tours, sports activities, and experiments with immersive technologies.
The Confucius Institute expresses its heartfelt gratitude to the leadership of both universities for their continuous support to the initiatives of the Institute, to the students who participated in the program, and to the colleagues and volunteers from both CUT and HDU, whose dedication and hard work contributed to the success of the program.
