Portugal’s annual inflation rate is estimated to have fallen to 9.9% from 10.1% month-on-month in November, official provisional figures showed on Wednesday.
“The core inflation index, which excludes energy and unprocessed food products components, was 7.2%, the highest rate since December 1993,” the country’s statistical office said.
The office said energy prices rose 24.8% in November on a yearly basis.
Monthly inflation is estimated to be 0.3% in November, down from 1.2% in October, it added.
