Parliament saddened by loss of lives in accident in Libya and floods in Thessaly

Acting Speaker of the Cyprus Parliament Zacharias Koulias expressed the House of Representatives’ grief over the loss of lives during an accident in Libya in which a Greek convoy was involved as well as over the natural disaster that hit the Thessaly region in Greece. Addressing the Plenary before the beginning of its legislative work Koulias said that the severity of the extreme weather phenomena, resulting in the rise of the water level, just a few days after the prolonged catastrophic fires, left behind dead, injured, homeless and irreparable damages in agriculture and livestock. He also said that the House of Representatives has expressed its sadness over the loss of Greek citizens in the recent incident in Libya and has conveyed its support and condolences to the Prime Minister, the government and the people of Greece.
