The House of Representatives is organising on Monday, in collaboration with the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), a conference on "75 years of operation of the Council of Europe: Republic of Cyprus - benefits and prospects". A press release by the House of Representatives says that the meeting will be addressed by President of the House of Representatives, Annita Demetriou, President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Theodoros Roussopoulos, and Commissioner for Health and Food Safety of the European Union, Stella Kyriakides - in her capacity as former President of PACE and former head of the Cypriot delegation to the Assembly - as well as General Secretary of PACE Despina Hatzivasiliou. Head of the Cypriot delegation at PACE Nikos Tornaritis and members Giorgos Loukaides and Kostis Efstathiou, will present the work carried out at PACE and the main benefits from the participation of the House of Representatives in the organisation.
