The head of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) on Wednesday welcomed the outcome of the trilateral summit between Türkiye, Azerbaijan, and Turkmenistan.?
Describing the summit a “momentous occasion,” OTS Secretary General Kubanychbek Omuraliev said in a statement that the “three fraternal nations come together to strengthen their ties and work towards a brighter future of the Turkic World.”?
“The agreements reached by the leaders of Azerbaijan, Türkiye, and Turkmenistan, as well as the signing of various documents in areas such as trade, culture, energy, and transport, will undoubtedly contribute to further strengthening of our comprehensive cooperation and enhanced interaction within the OTS,” Kubanychbek said.
He further noted that the expansion of ties between the three countries “is a major step forward in the process of unifying and strengthening the entire Turkic World.”
“It will serve to reinforce the already robust collaboration between our truly fraternal nations,” he added.
The statement came after a trilateral summit between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, and Turkmen leader Serdar Berdimuhamedov was held in the western Turkmen city of Awaza, where they discussed steps to deepen cooperation between the three countries in various areas.
The trio signed five agreements in various areas including trade, culture, energy, and transport, which aim to strengthen cooperation.
