Duplantis, who broke the world pole vault record by soaring 6.25 meters (20.5 feet) at the Stade de France, celebrated his gold medal victory with the 'Yusuf Dikec pose' in Paris. Prior to the Olympics, he had already impressed by jumping 6.24 meters in the Diamond League in China. He surpassed his own record again by clearing 6.26 meters in a Diamond League competition held in Silesia, Poland, after the Paris Games.
