Cyprus' Department of Meteorology issued a new yellow warning for extreme high temperature on Saturday.
The warning is valid from 11 am until 6 pm on Saturday. During this period, the maximum temperature is expected to reach 42 degrees Celsius over the inland areas and around 33 degrees over the higher mountainous areas.
Moreover, the Department of Forests warns that the risk of forest fires on Saturday remains at "code red" level.
The Department urges people, in case they notice smoke or fire, to report it immediately by calling 1407 (Forestry Department) or 112 (Fire Service).
