Chief of the National Guard, Lieutenant General Dimokritos Zervakis, had on Monday a telephone conversation with the Chief of Defence Staff of the Indian Armed Forces, General Anil Chauan.
According to a press release issued by the National Guard General Staff, the conversation took place in a particularly warm atmosphere and the two officials discussed about the geostrategic challenges regarding the Eastern Mediterranean and broadly issues of common interest, as well as prospects for developing the bilateral military cooperation between the armed forces of the two countries, following the signing on December 28 2022 in Nicosia of an MoU on Military Cooperation issues at the Foreign Ministers’ level.
Zervakis invited his counterpart to pay an official visit to Cyprus.
