All major Asian indexes closed Wednesday with gains, except for Singapore's index which posted a decline.
The Asia Dow, which includes blue-chip companies in the region, rose 1.48% to 3,345.64 points as of 1134GMT.
Tokyo’s Nikkei 225 increased 0.26% to 27,516.53 points.
The Hang Seng, the benchmark for blue-chip stocks trading on the Hong Kong stock exchange, increased 4.21% to 20,619.71.
China’s Shanghai Stock Exchange was up by 1% to 3,312.35, and India’s Sensex benchmark increased 0.76% to close at 59,411.08.
The Singapore index, however, dropped 0.23% to 3,255.08 for the biggest fall among the major Asian indexes.
